About IN Health for Life

Start where you are       Use what you have      Do what you can

- Arthur Ashe

Our desire is to help you make the health changes you most want, at your own pace. While we teach a whole-food, plant-based approach to health, we don't expect everyone to completely make that choice. We know each person's journey is different, and we will walk along beside you.

We teach practical, science-based lifestyle classes geared toward:

  • Weight loss

  • Blood sugar management for diabetes & pre-diabetes

  • Heart disease management, prevention & reversal to avoid stroke and heart attack

  • Cancer prevention and complementary dietary steps to maximize your treatment if you are diagnosed

  • Cooking classes for economical, nutritious & delicious meals

  • Depression and anxiety management

We believe that plant-based nutrition and exercise is the basis for good health. However, we recognize that there are times that medical treatment is necessary. We do not encourage people to abandon medical treatment, we encourage people to add nutrition and lifestyle to their medical treatments and watch the amazing results.

We also welcome anyone who is interested in eating plant-based out of concern for animals and our planet. The information and support we provide will help you in your pursuit of a more compassionate lifestyle.

We are all volunteers and any proceeds from classes are used for future health events and classes.

Although we are affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist church, all classes are open to anyone of any religious or other belief background or affiliation.  Our purpose is to promote whole-person health and wellness for everyone, and we exist to serve our community. We look forward to meeting you!

"I love the classes I've taken from Alison. She is so organized and enthusiastic and really knows the topics she chooses to teach. Did I say food? Really good food! Can't wait to take more classes from her."

"In my life there were seeds of change brewing. The health classes supported me with new knowledge, new friendships, and new application to the one thing I held so dear, food."

Class particpants say....

The Health for Life Classes are wonderful! They are inspiring, highly motivational and educational. I loved receiving the research data that was presented, and that all the information given was evidenced based. It was fun to be able to interact with the presenters and other participants, asking questions and getting great feedback. I also loved being able to come home with great recipes that we were able to sample at the classes each night. An added bonus was that I dropped 10 lbs. during the course and dropped my BMI into a normal category, thereby reducing my risk for disease. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how a whole food, plant-based diet can improve health and even reverse disease, for those who have health issues and desire to get healthy, or even to those who are overweight, fatigued or desiring to get hold of their health.
